What is the Council and Why Should I Attend?
- Minnesota 4-H federations/councils are educational organizations under the Regents of the University of Minnesota. The exclusive purpose of this 4-H organization shall be to cooperate with the University of Minnesota Extension 4-H program staff in unifying and strengthening the 4-H Youth Development program.
- We make decisions about what our priorities are for educational programming, award scholarships to youth, discuss how to improve the program and support our community, and more! You will also gain an understanding of how our organization functions.
- Everyone is always welcome at our council meetings.
Who is Considered a Member of the Council with Voting Rights?
- Membership shall include all 4 H members youth, grade 5 and up and adult volunteers serving as Minnesota 4-H organizational, activity, or project volunteers.
- Note youth younger than grade 5 are still considered members of 4-H, however they are not considered members of the Council with voting rights.
