Dr. Devra Davis is founder and President of the Environmental Health Trust, a scientific think tank that publishes research and educates policymakers and the public on environmental health hazards. She has authored more than 200 peer-reviewed publications in books and journals ranging from the Lancet to the Journal of the American Medical Association. She is currently a Fellow of the American College of Epidemiology, an Associate Editor of the journal Frontiers in Radiation and Health, and a visiting professor in the Medical Schools of Hebrew University Hadassah in Israel and Ondokuz Mayis University in Turkey. She was previously the Director of the Center for Environmental Oncology and Cancer Institute at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Davis was part of the team of scientists on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change that was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 with the Honorable Al Gore. Her work also helped jump start efforts to ban smoking on airplanes.

Dr. Davis has held a variety of positions in top scientific and health agencies of the Federal government. While working at the National Academy of Sciences, she was the founding director of the Board on Environmental Studies and Toxicology of the U.S. National Research Council. At the Department of Health and Human Services, she was Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Health and appointed to the U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board by President Clinton. She also served on the Board of Scientific Counselors of the U.S. National Toxicology Program and on various advisory committees to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
