About this Event
IS READING A CIVIL RIGHT?
More than half of third- through eighth-grade students who attend public schools in the city of Fort Worth did not meet grade level for reading on state accountability tests in 2024*. In the Fort Worth ISD alone, only 33 percent of third-graders scored at grade level in reading**.
Some argue that such statistics represent not only a failure in education but a failure to meet basic civil rights. Join us for a keynote address and panel discussion on an issue that is critical to the future of our community. See you there!
