About this Event
High interest rates, inflation, macroeconomic fears, and the end of the pandemic have resulted in over 500,000 laid off workers. It's been especially disruptive in tech centers like San Francisco, Austin, New York, and Los Angeles as startup funding dry up and technology leaders transition to artificial intelligence or pivot to focus on core technology.
The end of the most recent tech renaissance also spells the conclusion of venerated tech benefits as firms reduce salaries, cut cushy benefits, and renege on long-held loyalty, even for technical professionals such as software engineers, data scientists, and product managers.
For the past few years, we've been asking whether it's time to quit tech while exploring new career fields. In this conference, we're answering that question with an emphatic yes. GeoBrowser / Workforce DAO and Albert's List are partnering up to see what exactly that means in a one-day conference. We'll be featuring panelists who work in different fields, hosting career coaches who will prepare you for a career switch, and exploring how AI and other innovations will drive transformation—even outside of tech. Non-tech organizations can also purchase a table to share their resources and pursue technology talent.
Join us to network, learn, and start your transition into a new career ahead of 2025.
