Is God Is follows twin sisters, Racine and Anaia, on a mission to confront their estranged father, who has wronged them in unimaginable ways as they navigate a brutal world of violence and self-discovery. This play does contain explicit language and potentially disturbing content. Audience discretion is advised.

Founded in 2023 by Jakyia Barnes and Njeri Holland, Black Playreaders is a script reading club dedicated to exploring and celebrating the work of Black playwrights. What started as a collaborative space for discussion has grown into a creative community, and we're excited to invite you to our second public reading!
