The IRS has been given the authority to hire contact representatives in select locations nationwide. These entry-level customer service positions are vital to ensuring taxpayers have the support they need to meet their tax obligations.
We are hosting a two-day, in-person hiring event for Contact Representative positions for our service center in Ogden, UT on September 23rd - 24th. We encourage you to apply and attend!
During the event, we will be making on-the-spot job offers and these selected candidates will be able to complete several pre-employment steps, such as fingerprinting!

Required Steps

Contact Representative Position Information
As a Contact Representative, you will work directly with taxpayers to resolve a variety of issues on their tax returns and tax accounts. One year of specialized customer service experience is required to qualify, however, a bachelor's degree (or combination of experience and education) can be substituted for the specialized experience requirement.
These entry level positions do not require you to have prior tax experience. Our top-notch training programs will teach you everything you need to know to prepare you to be successful in these positions.
For the Ogden call site, we will be offering full-time, term positions on day and mid-day shifts. Training may be conducted at a different time. These are TERM positions which are one-year appointments that may be extended up to four (4) years, in one-year increments.
These are not remote positions. You will be required to work at the call center Monday - Friday.

During this event, we will be making job offers to those qualified attendees that previously applied to the Ogden Contact Representative job announcement linked above. If you accept our offer, you will be able to complete several pre-employment steps during the event. The entire process can take about 2-3 hours to complete. Please plan accordingly.
