This year’s hike is particularly special as we commemorate a decade of uniting veterans in the fight against isolation and suicide. We are thrilled to announce a new starting location at **Blackbeard's** in Jacksonville, and the event will feature partnerships with **Mission BBQ**, **Chili’s**, and **Outback Steakhouse**, who are providing support for our participants throughout the day. The Silkies Hike, hosted by Irreverent Warriors, is not your typical event. Over 400 veterans, dressed in their iconic “silkies,” will march together in solidarity, fostering a sense of connection, humor, and healing. It’s an unforgettable sight, and we’d be honored to have your news outlet present to document this remarkable moment in our community.
