On Sunday 19th August 2025 Ironbridge Lions are holding a “Silver Over the Bridge” event in Ironbridge to raise funds that will go towards meeting the cost of the 2025/2026 screening sessions.An increasing awareness of Prostate cancer amongst men has resulted in a growing demand for prostate PSA screening. Over the past 12 months 661 men have attended Ironbridge Lions sessions – A PSA test, or prostate-specific antigen test, is a blood test that can help detect prostate cancer early, even before symptoms appear. It's a key tool for men concerned about prostate health and can help identify potential problems with the prostate.
