THE GAUNTLET Each athlete will have the option of competing in the Scaled or RX category. The athlete will choose the category that suits their individual fitness level.
The gauntlet will be an individual event this year! We will have multiple people competing at once to help the flow of the event.
OUTLINE OF THE WORKOUT:
15-minute time cap
500M-750M Row
(distance will depend on category you register for)
Sandbag over bar
(athletes can choose from a variety of sandbag weights to throw over a designated bar. To finish this part of the event, the athlete's successful throws must total 750-1,000 lbs. – depending on the category you registered for.)
Odd object carry
(athlete can choose how they will move the object across the parking lot. Overhead carry, zercher carry, etc. We will release a video of this in the next week)
Rope sled pull
(athlete chooses method for pulling the sled)
Trap Bar deadlift and carry
(athlete will perform 5 reps -weight must touch the ground to count as a completed rep- then transition into a farmer's walk carrying the same bar, followed by more repetitions and another carry. NO STRAPS! Chalk is allowed.)
ECHO Bike for calories
(total calories needed will depend on the category you signed up for)
