About this Event
Join us for a 5 mile round trip hike of Iron Horse Trail. This relatively flat hike follows an old railroad line across wide bridges made from the train tracks, with views of mountains and fall foliage.
We will meet at the Homestead Valley Trailhead at 9:00 am and plan to hit the trail by 9:15 am. Look for the Queer Mountaineers flag and the friendly white dog.
Parking at the trailhead does require a Discover Pass. We also recommend bringing rain gear (this is Washington), comfortable shoes, plenty of water, and snacks. Dogs are allowed on leash.
Gear Needed: Sturdy shoes (ideally waterproof) that can get muddy/wet, day pack with 10 essentials, food, water, extra layers, sunscreen. Check forecast before you hike.
