Come join our chosen family and community as we tip our cowboy hats to our dear friend and brother, KJ Donoghue, at his Irish Wake on April 5th. We’ll celebrate KJ’s life the same way he lived it—listening to music, sitting around a fire, and with plenty of cheap beer n' some pickle-backs for good measure. We will surround ourselves with the people that KJ loved and of course those who loved him. We will share memories, heartfelt moments, and the sincerity and compassion he shared with all of us.
This event is open to anyone who loved KJ or shared a connection with him; we will welcome blood relatives, childhood friends, lifelong acquaintances, and his chosen family from every branch of his adventure-filled life.
This will be one hell of a gathering for one hell of a person, filled with the unshakable warmth of his spirit. A celebration truly worthy of KJ! Don't worry, there will also be milk (and other non-alcoholic drinks) and various foods (that he actually ate!).
We will also have a special memorial structure to burn, partially using inspiration and pieces from previous projects that KJ was a part of. If you are interested in helping with the building of the memorial at the Arthouse in Rockville over the next two weeks, or on site, reach out to Michael Verdon.
