About this Event
The Irish Septorhinoplasty Dissection Course (ISDC) Cork is delivered by UCC/CoMH. This one-day experiential education and training course will be held at the ASSERT Centre, College of Medicine & Health, UCC, Cork, on Thursday, January 30th, 2025.
The course is aimed at specialist registrars with an interest in Rhinoplasty. It offers attendees the opportunity to learn both the anatomy of the nose and develop their skills in either preservation, hybrid or structural rhinoplasty techniques under the expert guidance from a faculty of demonstrators with extensive experience in both primary and secondary procedures.
Further skills development will involve use of donor costal cartilage to create and stabilise graft material for primary or secondary procedures.
The course will offer 12 participants access to a dissection specimen. It will also offer the opportunity for 6 observers to attend the dissection and observe both preservation and structural techniques.
The course is performed at the ASSERT’s state-of-the-art medical simulation facility and will run in a simulated surgical skills lab environment using fresh frozen cadaveric specimens. The use of fresh cadaveric specimens allows for high-fidelity simulated clinical practice.
