St. Brigid's Day INP Member Event
Celebrate St. Brigid's Day with fellow INP members at Kells Irish Restaurant & Pub and help us plan our member and community events for 2025. We have a lot of amazing 2025 events already in motion but we want to hear from you, our valued members, on what you'd like to get from your INP membership and how INP can better serve you. All attendees are invited to join members of the INP board for a no-host dinner at Kells afterwards.
If you're not already an INP member, sign up for membership and exclusive event access here: https://irishnetworkportland.app.neoncrm.com/forms/membership
Now, most people know that St. Brigid is one of Ireland's three patron saints and that her feast day of February 1st is the Celtic first day of spring.
However, unbeknownst to many, she's also famous for turning bathwater into beer! The story goes that she was once working in a leper colony that ran out of beer (to her horror, of course).
Beer was important back then. It was safe to drink and nutritious (water was often polluted) so running out of it was a major issue. The story goes that the fine Irish goddess, St. Brigid used divine intervention to solve the problem and turned the bathwater into beer!
So in her honour and to celebrate the coming of Spring, we're treating each of our guests to some fine beer (or wine)* and sandwiches as we welcome in the light of Imbolc. See you there!
