Irish Design Week, Day Three: Experience Design

In Conversation: Imirt & Eirmersive present Logitech & industry experts. 7:30-8:30pm
Design & Crafts Council Ireland, in collaboration with the Imirt & Eirmersive, present an evening showcasing the opportunities that exist within the Experience Design sector.

Logitech, awarded the honorary title “Red Dot: Design Team of the Year 2023", has changed the way in which people interact with digital devices. They will be joined on stage by leading experts in the gaming and immersive digital world.

Design Diplomacy. 6-7pm
Design Diplomacy is a concept developed by Helsinki Design Week, and produces unique, intimate conversations between two creative minds. During the event the international design professional meets an Irish designer over a card game of questions. Visitors will have an opportunity to experience carefully curated and unique conversations as in each situation the interlocutors meet for the first time.

International Designer, Germany: Cordula Hansen.

Dr. Cordula Hansen is a real-time artist, 3D designer, and co-founder of XYZ Technical Art Services GmbH, where she leads innovative virtual production and immersive media projects. With a rich background in creating 3D environments and interactive experiences for cultural organizations and storytellers, she brings together concept development, previsualization, and prototyping using tools like Unreal Engine, Reality Capture and pen and paper. Cordula's passion for virtual production extends to her work as an Unreal Authorized Instructor partner at Epic Games, where she has mentored professionals in world-building and immersive storytelling techniques as part of the Epic Fellowship programme.

With over a decade of experience, Cordula has a strong academic and practical foundation in immersive technologies, having lectured extensively and worked on immersive cultural heritage projects across Europe. Her expertise spans user experience design, VR/AR development, and immersive prototyping, making her a sought-after collaborator in innovative, cross-disciplinary projects.

Irish Designer: Oisín Lennon (Danu Sports)

Oisín Lennon, the founder and CEO of Danu Sports, is an industrial designer with a passion for sports, healthcare, and design. Oisín & Danu Sports are working with elite sports professionals & medical experts to develop a wearable system that removes the restrictions of traditional lab-based gait analysis. They are developing a wearable that provides coaches and athletes with smart injury & performance management through unrestricted, analysis in any environment, at any time. As CEO of Danu Sports, Oisín has secured funding by Enterprise Ireland as a HPSU, by the EU Commission through Horizon 2020 SMEP1 and the European Space Agency as he was accepted into the Space Solutions programme to provide a system for Astronaut rehabilitation from atrophy related issues.
