Join 100 Archive in collaboration with Design & Crafts Council Ireland for a special event exploring how design can shape collaborative and hopeful futures. Bringing together emerging voices from visual communications design, policy-making, and systems change, the evening will highlight inspiring projects and initiatives where design acts as a tool for connection, innovation and impact.
100 Archive is delighted to host Brett O’Mahony (Studio Saol, Ireland) and Johanna Frabin (21st Europe, Denmark), both of whom are actively using and advocating for design to co-create new ways of thinking, working and living. Whether you’re a designer, policymaker, community organiser, student or simply curious about how design influences our everyday, you’re warmly invited to join this event.
Johanna Fabrin, 21st Europe
21st Europe is a new think tank working with Europe’s brightest minds to design blueprints that spark conversations and inspire optimism for the continent’s next chapter.
As Partner and Managing Director, Johanna Fabrin anchors 21st Europe in timely policy agendas and ensures their translation into actionable insights through design. Her background spans climate and economic policy, having worked with multilateral organisations such as the World Bank and the UN to connect policy to implementation. She has also held strategy roles at SPACE10 and AKQA, focusing on how design drives change.
Design Diplomacy. 6:15pm-7:15pm
Design Diplomacy is a concept developed by Helsinki Design Week, and produces unique, intimate conversations between two creative minds. During the event the international design professional meets an Irish designer over a card game of questions. Visitors will have an opportunity to experience carefully curated and unique conversations as in each situation the participants meet for the first time.
Swedish Designer: Sebastian Helene
Sebastian Helene is a Swedish 3D Director, Designer & Animator who is a co-founder of 3D Design studio DissEmbargo – a studio which, over the last few years, has worked for brands such as Formula 1, Apple, Blackstone & Brown Thomas/Arnott’s to deliver world-class high-end 3D services. He combines a background in Graphic Design, Illustration & broadcast with a 3D skillset in Animation & Art Direction to enhance the visual presentation of Brands and products. He spent 10 years in London working for various studios as both an in-house designer and later a freelance Director before moving and settling in beautiful Ireland 4 years ago. In regards to awards & recognition, Sebastian has been the recipient of awards such as the Eyes and Ears of Europe, Promax, Creative Pool, Clio Key art Awards, Vimeo Staff picks & multiple article features.
Irish Designer: Brett O’Mahony
Brett O’Mahony is the Visual Director at Studio Saol, a strategic design and futures practice based in Limerick. Her background spans digital experiences, luxury branding, and social innovation, shaped through work in Ireland and the UK with organisations including Burberry, Apple, Google and Humanity Crew.
Studio Saol's work lives at the intersection of design, innovation, and systems change. They collaborate with a wide range of partners - from local community groups and public institutions to charities and international organisations - helping them navigate complex challenges.
Studio Saol works across futures, systems, strategy, and design to support responses that are both rooted in place and connected to wider contexts. The studio’s approach sees design not just as problem-solving, but as a way of exploring new possibilities for how people might work, live, and create together.
