If you’ve ever looked at an iris and thought, “Wow, that’s a fancy flower… I wonder how people get them to look that good?”—then you’re in luck! Join us to hear from Laura Vitanova, an expert in growing, caring for, and (believe it or not) competing with iris flowers. Yes, flower competitions are a thing.Laura has been a regular member of our community since 2019, and she has been growing bearded irises since before the internet (probably).
About Wichita Oasis. Wichita Oasis is a non-religious community for people to come together to connect, be inspired, and feel empowered. We meet weekly on Sunday mornings and programming may include featured speakers, live local musicians, potlucks, service projects, game days, and more. The program starts at 11:00 AM, and people are encouraged to come half an hour earlier for coffee, snacks, and conversation. For more information, find us at wichitaoasis.org
