A lovely taster workshop to create some drama! Build a design using precut pieces of glass with a shimmery metallic finish. A similar process to mosaic, except I’ll fuse it together in my kiln. Create a pair of functional coasters or a decorative hanging (approx 17cm circle or long thin panel 5x30cm). Materials included.You will play with different types of decorative glass elements and learn a little about how the kiln firing will change them. Simply complete your design during the session and leave it at the studio for me to fire, finish and clean up for you. We will make arrangements to pick up a few weeks later or I can post your finished piece at cost.
I will talk through all the Health & Safety in the session but I want you to know now, you will be handling precut glass pieces, they have pointy ends but with the right handling, they won’t hurt you.
Recommended for ages 13s and above, all under 16s to be accompanied by a paying adult.
