The Grieg Academy is proud to host an IRCAM Residency from #January 26 to 29, 2026, organised as part of our ongoing initiative to strengthen artistic innovation and technological creativity within music education at KMD.
This four-day residency will focus on #AI and #Creativity, exploring how artificial intelligence can be integrated into #composition, #improvisation, and live #performance.

#Schedule Overview
January 26: Public Talk — Presentation of IRCAM’s REACH project and discussion on AI in contemporary creativity.
January 27–29: Workshops with students — Hands-on sessions exploring Somax2 and other IRCAM tools for creative interaction with AI.
#Participation
All composition students are required to attend.
Performers from Classical, Jazz, or other departments, as well as anyone interested in interactive AI systems, are warmly encouraged to participate.
Active student engagement will be essential to the success of this collaborative residency.
