Get ready for a night of fun, excitement, and surprises!

This concert features the richness and color inherent in Iranian classical music as well as Folk music with modern touches! This performance will feature Moslem Alipour on Vocals and Kamancheh, Mandana Khazraei on Vocals, Aydin Shaterian on Tar, Safa Darman on Bass, Mohammad Shabani on Percussion, and Nariman Assadi on percussion.

The concert will begin at 7:30 pm, but doors will open at 7pm. Tickets are available on Eventbrite and by contacting Nariman Assadi ((530)574-4636 or [email protected])

Tickets are available on a first come first serve basis.

Concert includes two parts with a 15 min intermission in between.

About the Artists


Mandana Khazraei

Mandana khazraei is a Persian singer, poet and architect. She was born in Kerman, Iran and emigrated to the United States in 2009. She obtained her degree in architecture from Tehran Azad University and has since worked in this field. In addition, she studied Persian “avaz” with Master Hengameh Akhavan.

Mandana has released more than 15 songs in the last 9 years. As a poet she has written the lyrics of most of her songs.

She has appeared on BBC TV, Manoto, VOA, Iran International and Voice of Canada.

During the pandemic she held two free performances on Instagram and established an online voice competition called “Shabhaye-Avaz”, two rounds of which have been completed to support female voices in Iran.

She has had the opportunity to work with great musicians such as Babak Shahraki , Masoud Jahed, Hooshang Farahani, Hamid Behrouzinia, Mazda Ansari , Meisam Marvasti , Behrouz Shiri and Moslem Alipour.

She currently lives in Virginia.


Moslem Alipour

Moslem Alipour, a virtuoso kamancheh player, composer, singer, and one of the most active contemporary musicians, has had a 30-year career in the field of music and performance, standing among the world's finest.
In 2020 and 2021, he was twice awarded at the Global Awards Music America festival. He has captivated audiences in many countries with his music performances, with his most notable performances including the Silk Road, conducted by Tan Dun, one of the world's renowned composers, and an UNESCO performance named "Mozart Day" alongside the world's best in France.
He has composed 20 albums catering to diverse audiences. Currently residing in Virginia, USA, Moslem Alipour leads a music band. He is passionate about creating film music and collaborating with professional groups.


Safa Daraman

Safa Darman is an accomplished international guitarist, producer, recording engineer, and entrepreneur from Shiraz, now based in Los Angeles.

With over two decades in the industry, he has worked with famous artists like Googoosh and Mohsen Yeganeh, and for major TV channels like BBC and NBC. Starting his musical journey at five, Safa moved from Tehran to Kuala Lumpur's In Music University, sharpening his skills and blending Persian music with Western styles, earning international acclaim and respect in the music world.


Mohammad Shabani

Mohammad Shabani was born in Tehran in 1987. At the age of 13, he learned percussion and in the first year of learning the instrument, he went on stage with the percussive band “Ada”.

He studied the instrument as a self-taught student until the age of 18, after which he traveled to other countries and continued to study the instrument with Luis Ernesto Gomez and Adrian Gonzalezes.

Collaborations with more than 15 famous Iranian singers in the field of pop music, including: Mohammad Isfahani, Mojtaba Kabiri, Behnam Safavi, Morteza Pashaei, Hamid Hami, Mehdi Yaghmaei, Nima Masiha, Amir Tajik, Mohammad Alizadeh,Reza Bahram Masoud, Sadeghlou, etc.

He has released two albums in his artistic career with the names of “Dance with Rhythm of the Beach” and “Back to Dreaming” in Latin Jazz and Jazz Fusion genres. The album “Dance with Rhythm of the Beach” was nominated for the best composition at the Fajr music festival.

Nariman Assadi

Nariman Assadi is an Iranian musician. Raised in Tehran, he always felt drawn to percussion instruments. At the age of thirteen, he began studying Tombak under Master Amir Mogharab Samadi. From 2008 to 2013, Nariman performed at Vahdat Hall as a soloist and with the Persian Percussion Ensemble at Pars Academy, the premier music academy for children. After mastering Tombak, he then began learning Daf under the great Master Bijan Kamkar. With a strong understanding of the Daf and Tombak, Nariman started learning Barbat (Oud) under Master Mohammad Firouzi.

In 2015, Nariman immigrated to the United States. He immediately began his professional music career by performing and attending festivals. Along with being a member of various ensembles, Nariman is a certified-Orff teacher and teaches Daf, Tombak, and Music for children.

In 2022, he toured all over the United States with Afra Ensemble, led by Master Hossein Behrouzina. Additionally, Nariman relaeasd his first album Larzanah, Improvisation of Iranian Folk Music, with Master Faraj Alipour on vocals and Kamancheh.

Currently, he teaches Iranian Music at Farsi Schools in Sacramento and the Bay Area. He also teaches music at more than seven elemantary schools in Sacramento.
