About this Event
This conference convenes U.S. policymakers, Members of Congress, foreign policy experts, legal scholars, and representatives of the Iranian democratic opposition to examine practical and realistic pathways toward the formation of Iran’s Seventh Constitutional Assembly. The event will be held at the United States Congress.
Organized in recognition of the 120th anniversary of Iran’s Constitutional Revolution and the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, the conference will focus on the legal, political, and institutional foundations necessary for a peaceful and constitutional transition in Iran. Core discussions will address the rule of law, separation of powers, protection of civil liberties, democratic accountability, and institutional reform.
Participants will explore how an inclusive and representative constitutional process can confront longstanding governance challenges, reduce systemic instability, and lay the groundwork for a democratic order rooted in legitimacy and popular sovereignty. The conference seeks to foster informed dialogue, clarify viable transition frameworks, and elevate international awareness of structured constitutional solutions for Iran’s future.
The conceptual framework of the conference is based on The Spirit of the Constitutional Law, the manifesto of the Iranian Constitutional Revolution.
