About this Event

In the early hours of July 15, 1895, a mob of over 100 white people brutally lynched Ira Johnson, a young African American man, miles outside of Greenville, South Carolina. Accused of killing a white man, Ira Johnson was kidnapped from J*il, hanged, and shot before a trial or investigation. Come join us in commemorating the life of Ira Johnson.
