The 79-voice Iowa State Singers will present their annual Fall Concert Sunday, October 26, 1:30p, in the Martha-Ellen Tye Recital Hall. The program will consist of historical classics such as Rheinberger’s beautiful Kyrie from the Mass in Eb and the opening of Bach’s mighty Singet dem Herrn. There will be a premiere of a newly commissioned piece by Latvian Lauma Kazaka, who set an Emily Dickinson poem. The music of Philippines composer Ily Maniano will also be sung, sparked by his recent residency in central Iowa.Admission is $10 for the general public. ISU students and youth under 18 are free. Tickets can be purchased at the door prior to the performance.
