There are three of groups of people in Iowa dedicated to learning and teaching the Irish language. The high point of their calendar is the Irish Language and Culture Weekend, which is held at Coe College, Cedar Rapids, every June.
Putting on an event like this is extremely expensive, and to help reduce costs for students, we need to raise additional funds.
In the Des Moines area, we are hosting an evening of Irish music at Your Private Bar on Friday, 18th April, at 7:00pm. Music will be by the Des Moines Irish Session and The Crowfoot Rakes.
