Slanjava Learning Ltd is pleased to host the IOSH Evacuation Chair Train the Trainer course, a practical one-day programme designed for individuals who wish to train others in the safe use of evacuation chairs.
This nationally recognised IOSH-accredited course provides the technical knowledge of evacuation chair operation alongside the training skills required to deliver engaging, compliant, and effective evacuation chair training. Delegates will take part in hands-on practice, explore key legislation, and gain confidence in planning and delivering their own sessions.
This was the first IOSH-accredited programme of its kind and remains the benchmark for evacuation chair training in the UK.
Who Should Attend?
Internal workplace trainers – staff responsible for delivering in-house evacuation chair training to colleagues.
External trainers – those delivering evacuation chair training commercially. To train externally, participants should hold a recognised training qualification such as AET (Award in Education and Training) or equivalent, and have appropriate insurance.
Key Benefits

Bring skills in-house – reducing reliance on external training providers and offering cost savings.

By the end of the course, participants will:
Understand how to safely use evacuation chairs.
Be confident in training others in safe chair use.
Be familiar with legislation and responsibilities (including PEEPs and chair inspections).
Be able to design and deliver effective, interactive training sessions.
Certification
On successful completion, delegates will receive the IOSH Evacuation Chair Train the Trainer certificate and a supporting course manual.
