About this Event
IOP online Winter School on Monday 21 to Wednesday 23 February, 9.30am - 1pm
Over three days our team of experienced coaches will cover key content and disciplinary topics. We will cover core ideas in Forces, Energy and Electricity, as well broader skills in Inclusion, Maths and Careers. Download the programme here.
The purpose of the Winter School is to give teachers the opportunity to engage in high quality professional development that will help make your classroom work even more rewarding for both you and your students.
The Winter School is suitable for:
• Trainee science teachers
• NQTs/ECTs
• Those new to or less confident with teaching physics
The emphasis of these sessions is KS3 core knowledge, but some KS4 content will be covered in particular sessions such as the maths session and electromagnetism session.
The Winter School will run over three days, finishing by 1pm each day. It is being repeated the following week as we recognise that the February Half Term break is at different times across the country.
This event is free; all we ask is that if you book a place, that you attend and that you complete our evaluation form.
We recommend that you plan to attend all the sessions each day but appreciate this may not be possible, but please try to attend as many of the sessions as you can.
