Birds are all around us. Would you like to learn about the birds in your neighborhood? Would you like to learn how to invite them into your yard? This presentation uses beautiful photographs and information about local birds. It offers tips on connecting with the birds that live around you and suggests ways to invite them into your yard with feeders, bird baths, and landscaping. Prerequisite: curiosity!Instructor Biography:
Shannon Rio is on the board of the Klamath Bird Observatory because of its work to protect birds and wild places in nature. She is a wildlife educator with a goal to connect people with nature so they will want to care for and protect what they love. She teaches classes in various settings, teaches yoga, works as a nurse practitioner, and is devoted to family, friends, and community.
This class will be offered in two parts: Zoom presentation, Oct 9, 6-7:30 pm, and a visit to Ashland’s North Mountain Park, Oct 11, 9:30-11:30 am.
Cost: $15 per event or sliding scale fee. Fees support the Land Steward Program
