Investment Whiskey will be offering samples of their latest whiskey, an Orange Curacao Finish as well as previous expressions. Single Barrel. Cask Strength. Finished.
The ten year old whiskey comes from Nobleton’s Distilling house and is a 51% corn, 45% rye, 4% barley mash bill. The barrel was affectionately known as “The Beast”.
The orange curaçao barrel’s journey begins in the sun-drenched orange orchards of southern Louisiana.
The satsuma oranges used in the curaçao are carefully placed into barrels of three-year-old sweet corn whiskey, which has been artfully matured with a secret blend of spices and herbs. This combination balances the rich caramel notes of sugarcane with a beautifully aromatic bouquet. The final product is barreled after an additional six months of aging.
Rooted in French Cajun heritage, the time-honored recipe has been passed down for more than century, reflecting the shared values of bringing people together and celebrating the good life.
We allowed the whiskey to soak up the cajun goodness from the orange curaçao barrel for two weeks before bottling. We tasted it about every four days to make sure we achieved the perfect blend to highlight the original whiskey while allowing the orange citrus to come through. This easy drinker is amazing by itself and a delicious option in a variety of cocktails!
Friends. Whiskey. Good Times.
