About this courseHave you always thought you had a voice but not known how to 'let it out'? Do you think you have a vocal talent but just need someone with the knowledge to help you 'use it’? With professional Voice Teacher Fleur Millar you’ll learn singing technique, how to use your body to maximise your voice and discover tips for audition and performance practice. If you are a continuing student, it builds on your skills and technique, aiming to consolidate your breathing technique and help you release the natural and organic voice within. We’ll work with Feldenkrais, Pilates and holistic singing techniques and work towards a cabaret presentation in the final week, comprising songs, duets and group songs, which reflect the vocal journey of each singer enrolled in the course.
Additional Information: Soprano and singing teacher Fleur Millar loves singing and teaching others to sing in all styles. She has a Bachelor of Music Performance in Voice from the Victorian College of the Arts, (University of Melbourne) and a Bachelor of Arts, in Drama and Art History from the ANU. In 2009 she returned from Europe, having performed in recital in London, Germany and Switzerland, her initial travels supported by a Youth Music Foundation of Australia scholarship. Her company ‘Fleur-de-lys Vocal Enterprises’ teaches students of a variety of ages, cultural backgrounds and experience.
