In this invention workshop by acclaimed artist Peter Quinnell, learn to make a wooden garden windmill and use the wind's energy to see what you can make it do! Invention is about imagination… What wind-powered marvel can you invent?
Part of an informal DIY Spirit of Invention festival by artists to celebrate invention in its abstract and strangest everydayness is inspired by John Logie Baird’s work to develop television.
Artist bio:
Peter Quinnell studied at Royal College of Art and Chelsea, half of pioneering collage and assemblage duo Archer/Quinnell in 80s and 90s, now solo: illustration, art, making things and working with children
and adults. Founder member of Radiator Arts, lecturer at University Centre Hastings and part of Project Art Works collective.
