ReTree Schenectady is leading a pilot project to remove burning bush from the forest behind the greenhouse in Central Park, Schenectady NY. Burning bush is a non-native invasive shrub that forms dense thickets, displacing native woody and herbaceous plants. We will be removing burning bush to support the ecology of the native understory and forest.
