There are a lot of non-native and invasive edible plants growing in our local LA hills, so let's learn how to identify and eat them!
About this Event

Thanks to tropical storm Hilary back in August, our Southern California hills have been tricked into spring so they're bursting with invasive/edible plants.

In this workshop and easy hike we will learn about both the native and invasive plants growing throughout Elysian Park, learn to identify what's edible and what's not, gather various invasive edible plants along a 2 mile walk, and at the end put them all together to enjoy a wild, foraged, hyper-locally-sourced salad.

Jason "journeyman" Wise is a certified California naturalist, professional outdoor environmental educator, a native plant daddy, and prolific tree hugger. Let's go explore nature together!
