Join the monthly herbal medicine club that runs on the third Tuesday of each month at The Apothecary, Penzance. In each session, we will meet a new plant through a sensory herb study, which is a traditional experiential practice to understand the therapeutics of herbs.
This study offers a unique and personal connection with the plant wisdom through experience, whilst deepening our understanding of the science of taste. This practice allows us to learn independently of books and ‘taught’ science, and rather create our own lived journey with herbs.
Ruth will introduce plant medicine, how it works and then guide you into the practice. We will drop into a quiet space to tune into your senses and channel information about the plants after drinking a fresh herbal infusion.
You will learn about the science and energetics of herbal medicine through practical, hands-on experience and shared group feedback facilitated by Ruth and nested in the beautiful Apothecary of medicines. We will make a simple medicine together for you to bring home, such as a tea blend, tincture, infused oil, hydrosol or balm.
