Free introduction workshop coming up: So, you’ve found your way to my Facebook page. You’ve read a few of my posts, liked some of them, and perhaps you’re wondering: What exactly am I doing here? What is my dream, my goal, my intention with this page?
For some, it may seem a little confusing. After all, this is an art studio, and you might expect posts like “How to paint a sunflower” or “How to draw a portrait of your dog using 2H, 4B, and 6B pencils.” And yes, from time to time, I may share tips and ideas like that. But if I’m not here primarily to teach techniques or skills, then the real question becomes: What message am I trying to share with you?
I’ll be introducing my vision, intention, and hope more fully at my upcoming workshop on the 4th of October. But in short: I created this page because I have personally experienced the deep benefits of creative expression. Not in the gallery sense—where art is made, priced, and sold—but in the messy, colourful, freeing process of making art for its own sake. Through this, I’ve learned that the way we create art can deeply influence the way we live artfully.
For me, the act of creating art and the act of creating life are closely intertwined. The very elements that make for good art—imagination, courage, balance, flow, and authenticity—are the same elements that create a meaningful life.
Think of the blank canvas on an easel, waiting to be splashed, layered, and brought to life with colours, textures, and images. In the same way, the canvas of our lives is waiting for our creative input—to be filled with meaning, dreams, accomplishments, and so much more. We are the artists of our own lives, shaping them with every thought, action, hope, and desire. Just as art is an authentic expression of a person’s creative DNA, your life, too, is a unique and authentic expression of who you are. Perhaps it’s time to show up in your life in a bold, colourful, unapologetic way and declare: Here I am. This is me.
The moment I realized how art changed the way I see the world, I became deeply excited—and I still am. That’s why I started this page: to share the vision of living creatively, not only for myself, but for others as well. Creativity is not something foreign or out of reach—it’s already a part of our humanness. It’s not hidden in the mountains or the seas; it lives within us. For me, creativity thawed out after being frozen for years, and when it did, I remembered. And maybe, just maybe, you came across my page to remember too—to live creatively, expressively, and with awe.
So come and join me. Let me create a space for you that is safe, open, and nourishing—a space where you can be touched by artful living, inspired by new ideas, and encouraged to explore how the richness of art can help you create a soulful and creative engagement with life.
