Requirements:
- 12 years to adult
Upland bird and waterfowl hunting are popular pursuits in Idaho. There are many skills required to be successful in both, but one of the most challenging is the development of wing shooting skills.
In this introductory class, instructors from Snake River Quail Forever will provide basic instruction on wing shooting, addressing firearms safety, shotgun manipulation (e.g., loading and unloading), safe shotgun handling, gun fit, gun mount, stance, sight picture, and more.
The course is designed for shooters who are new to wing shooting. Students will finish the class having hit a few clays and an understanding of wing shooting fundamentals.
The previously listed requirement that all students have successfully completed an Idaho-recognized Hunter Education has been eliminated. The course is open to adult and youths aged 12 years and older.
Loaner shotguns, ammunition and ear/eye protection will be provided.
The class meets on the Hunter Education range of the Blacks Creek Ranges.
About the Location
