About this Event
Introduction to Whetstone Sharpening will provide a hands-on introduction to hand sharpening with whetstones. This class will give you experience working with water stones, oil stones, diamond stones, and strops along with information about sharpening with sandpaper. Guided learning of sharpening chisels and knives will empower you to keep your own equipment sharp and safe to use.
This class is not a treatise on specific sharpening dogma, but a guide and an introduction to several methods of sharpening. Nor is this class an introduction to the hobby of sharpening. This class is designed to teach you how to get back to work, with safe, sharp tools.
