Whether you're a beginner or looking for a refresher, this workshop offers a hands-on opportunity to learn and practice the art of throwing clay on a potter's wheel.
In this workshop, students will learn basic wheel-throwing techniques while creating 5 to 6 bowls. The first two classes will focus on throwing the bowls on the potter's wheel, while the third class will cover the trimming process, including different foot techniques. The final class will explore glazing techniques.
The workshop will take place on the following dates:
Monday, June 3 and Thursday, June 6 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Wednesday, June 12 and Wednesday, June 19 from 6 - 9 p.m.
Registration per session is $200 for LACA members and $220 for non-members, and it includes all necessary supplies. Written reference guides will be provided, and all pottery created during the workshop will be fired in the LACA studio.
