Instructor: Margery EricksonSkill Level: Beginner/Novice
The class will start with an introduction to weaving terms, types of looms and various yarns. Participants will learn how to put yarn on a loom, practice various weaving techniques (hem stitching, leno lace, clasp weaving, Danish Medallions) and weave a wall hanging sampler or set of mug mats.
All materials will be provided by the instructor. Students will have access to rigid heddle looms. If you have a rigid heddle loom and would like to bring it to use, please contact the instructor before class.

About the Instructor:
Margery Erickson received Master Artisan status with the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen in 1991. She specialized in hand weaving and wearable art. Other fiber interests include spinning yarn, crocheting, and knitting. Her formal education includes a degree in Social Science from Penn State and a Masters degree from Millersville University in Special Education.
