Join us for a fun and interactive event where you'll get the chance to dive into the exciting world of UX/UI design!

During this in-person event, members of Brook's award-winning Digtial Team will introduce the key principles of user-centred design in the development of digital tools.
The Digital Team at Brook oversee the Brook website which receives 1.3 million visits a year, Brook Learn – a digital learning platform for teachers that currently has 30,000 registered users and Brook’s pioneering Digital Front Door. The Digital Front Door describes a programme of work to transform how users access Brook’s clinical services and currently includes a chatbot, risk of pregnancy calculator, appointment booking and online ordering of home STI tests.
There will also be opportunities to review and provide feedback on digital tools currently in use in Tameside, Stockport and Trafford and digital tools currently in development at Brook, with the opportunity to directly shape their evolution.
Aims
To equip participants with an introductory understanding of design principles, especially in the development of new digital products for a healthcare setting.
Outcomes
By the end of the sessions, participants will have an:
- Introductory understanding of how user centred design works in practice
- Introductory understanding of the digital development process for new services and products
- Understanding of the importance of inviting user input from diverse backgrounds
- Opportunity to input into shaping the future trajectory of some of Brook’s key digital tools
