I am so happy to announce that @absolute.physio and @the_pelvic_health_physio are coming to Bergen, Norway to hold their 2-day intensive course "Introduction to ultrasound imaging in pelvic health 15th and 16th of November-25.It is open to physios or other relevant professionals who are new to point of care ultrasound in pelvic health and those with some experience who are keen to refine their skills and learn more
The course will cover:
Principles and physics of Ultrasound (pre-course pre-recorded lectures completed prior to in person training)
Introduction to ultrasound imaging in pelvic health
Simple and comprehensive bladder scanning - pelvic floor biofeedback and bladder volumes
Transperineal pelvic floor
Functional Point of Care Ultrasound
Abdominal wall and diastasis
Scope of practice and professional considerations
Course fee: NOK 9000, includes lunch
Course tutors: Gráinne Donnelly and Jane Dixon
Gráinne Donnellyis an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist private practice) and doctoral researcher (Cardiff Metropolitan University). She is the current Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy and she sits on the board of trustees for the POGP. Gráinne was part of a team of clinical and academic health professionals who developed the first scope of practice framework for Physiotherapists using ultrasound imaging in pelvic health in the UK and has been teaching about point of care ultrasound in this speciality for over 5 years.
Jane Dixon is an independent consultant pelvic health physiotherapist and lecturer.
