Travel journalling, here’s a throw back to 2019 and our adventures in Canada, Northern lights in Yellowknife and Lake Louise. Travel journaling is a beautiful way to capture moments of a trip and really lock them in, immerse yourself in a memory and draw or paint elements of it that you want to remember.
I remember how I felt on that frozen lake. It’s was -45oC that night, I had so many layers on with that tiny bit of my eyes and face exposed. I still only stayed out there for 15 mins at a time.
It felt like looking at the Milky Way above me at first but then to realise that it was moving and changing before your eyes. People comment about the Northern lights dancing in the sky. It’s true. We saw it moving like it was alive.
I adore sharing the joy of travel journaling with other people, our next class for this is in the new year. A beautiful combo of sketching, pen drawing and watercolour wash.
