Learn all the basic skills required to create an engraved scrimshaw tile.
About this Event

Award-winning scrimshander and author Erwin Wunderlich will guide you step by step to create a sample engraving using traditional scrimshaw techniques. Erwin will provide all of the tools and materials necessary to complete a Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings “The Yearling” tile in this 3 hour class. This is an introductory class to become familiar with the history and techniques of this traditional craft. Additional advanced-level sessions may be available in the future.

Note: An Optivisor vision enhancing device is required for this class. A limited number will be available for student use. Please bring your own if you have one.

There is a 2 student minimum for this class.

Cost is $40 and all materials are included in this fee
