This is a TouchDesigner workshop aimed at both beginners and those would like to develop their skill.
About this Event

TouchDesigner is a powerful node-based, procedural visual programming language used for interactive 3D and 2D applications. This beginner-friendly event welcomes everyone, from absolute beginners to seasoned users, and aims to demystify the software and provide you with the basic knowledge necessary to create your own TouchDesigner projects.
Despite its capabilities, TouchDesigner can be intimidating for newcomers or those interested in developing with it. This workshop is designed for anyone eager to learn a new way to create quality digital works. While primarily aimed at new users, experienced users can also pick up new tips and techniques. If you’re unfamiliar with TouchDesigner or have never heard of it but are interested, you’re welcome to join as we start from the very basics.

13:00 - 14:00 - Introduction


Participants can introduce themselves. A short presentation on Digital art, Generative art and TouchDesigner, showcasing works created with the program, and installing the latest build together.
14:10 - 15:00 - Demistifing TouchDesigner
Introduction to TouchDesigner, including understanding the environment, creating project folders, navigating the workspace, and getting to know the interface.
15:10 - 16:00 - How to work in Touchdesigner? - Operators- How to work in Touchdesigner? - Operators
Understanding the operators (TOPS, CHOPS, COMPS, DATS, SOP), creating custom compositions, taking notes for future reference, and creating a base TD file for ongoing use.
16:10 - 17:00 - Methodology and Example Project
Exploring the methodology behind working in TouchDesigner, focusing on both experimental and planned projects, culminating in creating a simple noise-based project and a Feedback loop.


Participants need to bring their own laptop. However, if you prefer to take notes or simply observe without actively following the workshop, you can participate with just a paper and pen.
