Shamanism is the most time-tested mind/body healing method that we know of today dating back at least 40,000 years and was practiced on all five continents. Shamanism is not a religion. It’s a worldview and way of life that recognizes the interconnectedness of all things and can even complement other religious practices as it reconnects us to our inherent ability to commune with the presence of Spirit in the world around us. Additionally, a core aspect of shamanism is the understanding that reality extends beyond the physical world and that we each have the ability to explore these spiritual realms for guidance, healing and deeper wisdom.This full-day experiential, interactive and participatory workshop offers the opportunity to discover ancient ways to engage with the spirit realms and begin developing a personal practice that supports insight, wellbeing and healing. Participants will have the opportunity to:
• Be introduced to the basic principles of cross-cultural core-shamanism
• Learn and practice ancient healing techniques which can be used for self-healing and on behalf of friends and family
• Experience ways to interact and communicate with Spirit through Nature
• Discover methods to deepen your working relationship with your spirit helpers and teachers
• Learn and practice Nature divination techniques used to gain wisdom, insight and guidance for self and others
• Broaden skills in ‘shamanic journeying’, a visionary method used to access the support of our spirit allies
*Taking at least one Shamanic Journeying for Beginners Class beforehand is recommended for basic journey experience but NOT required
