About this Event

There is archeological evidence of core shamanic principles being practiced by people in a variety of cultures for over 40,000 years. It is the oldest spiritual practice on the Planet and is essentially about your personal relationship with nature and the helping Spirits in your time and place.

Shamanic practices provide us with effective and time tested methods to create and maintain power and collective balance and transformation. They connect us directly to the Divine in a very personal experiential way.

This session will introduce you to core shamanic principles as developed by Michael Harner and taught by the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. These principles such as the use of percussive drumming and journeying "are not bound to any specific cultural group or perspective."

You will be invited to safely participate in a "journey" and perhaps connect with a Spirit Guide. If you are familiar with the concepts of a shamanic journey, please join us to share your wisdom and experience and spend some time with your Spirit Guide.

Meet Laurie Levknecht

Over the course of 20 years, Laurie has studied and experienced shamanic practices in a variety of settings with multiple teachers, including Michael Harner, Sandra Ingerman, Bill Plotkin, Dana Robinson, Mara Bishop and Phyllis Curott. She is NOT a shaman, does not facilitate advanced shamanic techniques and is not "certified", but has informally helped multiple people experience profound personal connections to the spirit world through basic shamanic journeying.
