9-Week Workshop for Adults Cost: $150 Schedule: Saturdays, January 17 – March 21 Time: 11:00 am – 12:30 pm (1.5 hours per session) Frequency: Once a week Level: Beginner / No prior experience required Instructor: Aliosky García. Aliosky García is a Cuban artist and master printmaker with extensive experience as a university-level studio art and printmaking professor and a museum and gallery professional. With a background in teaching, curatorial practice, and exhibition design, the instructor brings a thoughtful, hands-on approach that makes printmaking accessible, engaging, and inspiring for beginners. This Introduction to Printmaking workshop offers adults an engaging entry point into the rich and versatile world of graphic arts. Designed for participants with no previous experience, the course introduces fundamental printmaking concepts through a playful, accessible, and creative approach. Focusing on process rather than perfection, participants will explore a variety of simple and expressive printmaking techniques. Through hands-on experimentation, students will learn how images are created, transferred, and transformed using different materials and methods. The workshop encourages curiosity, creative thinking, and personal expression in a supportive and relaxed environment. The nine-week course is structured to build confidence and skill gradually. Each session begins with a short visual presentation by the artist-instructor, offering inspiration, historical references, and technical guidance. Participants then move into practical studio work, experimenting with materials, developing ideas, and learning techniques step by step. By the end of the workshop, each student will have created two to three works using each of the techniques exploredand will take part in a group exhibition, celebrating their creative journey and sharing their work with the community. *No prior knowledge is required—just curiosity and a willingness to explore.
