COURSE OUTLINE
This 1.5 day course is an Introduction to Posture & Movement Fundamentals. You will start by learning and understanding common types of postures and the different muscles that correlate to the posture with an understanding of basic functional anatomy of the body.You will be brought through a series of posture analysis tests that will provide you with the data needed to understand overall posture of a person. From the perspective of functional anatomy, you will be introduced to various modalities, interventions and strengthening methods available that can be possible for posture improvement. For practical application, you’ll be guided through basic mobilisation, exercise and stretch methods that will help to alleviate pain and improve overall posture.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
After the course participants will be able to:
• Students will be able to understand basic functional anatomy for the common types of postures & movement patterns.
• Students will be able to do basic posture analysis to identify dysfunctions and imbalances of the body.
• Students will be able to understand the various types of modalities, interventions and strengthening methods that will help to improve posture & movement fundamentals.
• Students will be able to teach basic joint mobilisation exercises, functional and strengthening exercise and stretch methods.
