Are you eager to explore the art of photography? Join our dynamic Introduction to Photography workshop, designed specifically for Adult beginners. Over 8 weeks, you’ll dive into the fundamentals of photography while developing your first compelling photography project.
WORKSHOP DETAILS:
- Duration: Wednesdays, September 25-November 13 (8 Tuesday sessions)
- Time: 1:00pm-3:00pm (2 hours)
- Ages: Adult 18 - 100
- Location: 900 Wayne Ave. Silver Spring, MD
- Skill Level: Beginner
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES:
- Learn Photography Basics: Master fundamental techniques like exposure, composition, and lighting.
- Explore Social Justice: Discover how photography can address and advocate for social justice issues.
- Develop Skills: Gain practical experience with cameras and editing software.
- Create a Project: Produce a photography project focused on a chosen social justice issue.
- Critique and Reflect: Practice giving and receiving feedback and reflect on the impact of their work.
NOTES:
- Our goal is to foster a safe and inclusive environment for all students and encourage constructive discussions through the work we create.
- Due to high demand and waitlists, our programs require full commitment to the scheduled workshops dates and times. If you are unable to attend more than 6 sessions, please consider exploring another workshop that better fits your availability.
- Workshops are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not reached.
- All students will receive a Welcome Letter via email days before the start date with all necessary details.
