Learn how to make your own 3D digital models of objects with photogrammetry.
About this Event

Photogrammetry is a photography-based technique used to produce 3D digital models of physical objects. This workshop will look at the principles of producing models using photogrammetry and practical considerations for approaching a project. We will then (weather permitting) head out onto campus with cameras to choose subjects and take photos of them, before returning to the DH Lab to work through the process of turning the photos into a 3D model.

An understanding of the principles of photography (for example through the Photography Basics Workshop) is useful but not essential.

Training workshops are for University of Exeter staff and postgraduates, but interested undergraduate students are very welcome to email [email protected] and any spare places will be allocated to you nearer the time.
