An introductory course on working with oil paint and cold wax. You will explore the variety of ways cold wax can be used to add translucency, texture and depth in oil painting. No matter whether you are an abstract or figurative artist, cold wax can be used in many different ways which I will demonstrate in the workshop and give you tips and direction to incorporate this into your own work. Nicki will demonstrate all the basics of using this versatile medium and give you a step by step instruction exercise to paint a dynamic seascape. All abilities are welcome on this course, even if you haven’t ever tried cold wax before!
