What if you could unlock the secret language of the forest? Introduction to Mycology is your gateway into the mysterious science of fungi. In this 2-3 hour class, you’ll explore the anatomy and life cycle of mushrooms, gain insights into their ecological role, and learn how to identify edible and medicinal species found in the Pacific Northwest. Whether you’re interested in foraging, cultivation, or simply curious about the interconnectedness of nature, this class will illuminate how fungi shape the world beneath our feet.

- How to forage safely and sustainably
- Basic home cultivation techniques for beginners

Meet the Instructor:Bri is a mycophile based in the Pacific Northwest dedicated to myco-education. She has passionate obsession with learning about different mushroom species and their unique way of surviving in their ecosystem.
You can find her in the woods, in the lab, at the dinner table; studying fungi. She has participated in mushroom forays across the United States, and leads guided fungi walks close to home in Washington.
